Friendly Game anyone????

Saturday morning I woke up early and went to Moo-Moo's game. He plays t-ball for Park & Rec, and his team is called the "Cubs". After the game, the coach always calls together the team for a lil talk. It usually entails what is coming up the following week.

"Next week we don't have a game. So Saturday we are going to have a game. Mom's vs. the team", says the coach.

Moo-Moo looks over at me and starts giggling. "I'm gonna kick your butt, mom!"

To which I replied, "Ummmm...no you aren't. You better get to practicing, cuz I'm gonna hit it out of the ball field".

He looks at me and rolls his eyes. (I swear, the nerve of this kid!!) "Mom, they aren't going to let you use the tee". R-I-G-H-T......like I REALLY NEED the tee!! I can't believe the crap this kid is talking to me!!!!!

"Moo-Moo, you better stop talking that trash. In fact tomorrow, why don't we 'practice' with our family?" He was TOTALLY game for that.

I got home and called the aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandparents. They called their neighbors and anyone else they thought would want to play and it was set. Sunday 5pm, Riverside.

Moo-Moo was sooooo excited. He could barely contain himself. That's all he talked about. How I wasn't going to be able to hit. What "his" team name was going to be. What "my" team name was going to be. Who was going to beat who. How he was going to get his brothers all on his team. It was soo funny, and sooo much fun.

There was a lot of trash-talking on the field. Everyone had such a good time! After about 5 innings, the adults were about done. They sure did give the kids a run for their money though!! And ya know.....I actually think Moo-Moo...may be sweating playing against me next week. LOL...now that he saw I do NOT need the tee!!!!
